Materials

  • 2 lb. 900g split chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken stock optional

Instructions

  • To prepare the baked chicken wings, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, Cayenne, pepper, salt, and instant chicken stock in a small bowl or shallow plate.
  • Arrange the chicken wings in a large salad bowl, spray with oil, and season with the spice mixture. Mix well until the chicken is coated. Allow it rest for 30 minutes; overnight in the refrigerator is ideal. Preheat your oven to 450ºF (230ºC) and arrange the rack in the center.
  • When ready to bake, place the chicken wings on a rimmed baking sheet (lined with foil or parchment paper).
  • Place the wings on a baking sheet and bake at 340ºF (170ºC) for 50–1 hour. You may turn the wings halfway through cooking if you choose.
  • Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and transfer it to a cooling rack. Rest for 5 minutes. This will assist the roasted chicken wings keep their crispness. Garnish with lemon slices and cilantro if desired. Enjoy! ❤️
