Materials

  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • - 1/4 cup milk
  • - 1 egg
  • - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - 2 tbsp olive oil
  • - 2 tbsp butter
  • - 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • - 2 cups beef broth
  • - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • - Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into meatballs.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 10-12 minutes. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to create a roux. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  • Return meatballs to the skillet, coating them in the gravy. Simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
