Homemade Spaghetti

Materials

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 15 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound spaghetti noodles

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package directions.
  • Serve the spaghetti noodles with the sauce and top with Parmesan cheese.
