Yield: 4
- - 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- - 1/4 cup honey
- - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- - 1 tablespoon olive oil
- - 1 teaspoon black pepper
- - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- - Salt to taste
- - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- - 2 tablespoons water
- - Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Put the chicken breasts in a big dish or ziplock bag. Pour marinade over chicken, making sure every piece is fully covered. Marinate at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat a skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until well done and golden brown.
In a small dish, combine cornstarch and water. Pour into the skillet and swirl thoroughly to mix with the juices. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Garnish the chicken with chopped parsley.
