Pork Chops with Scalloped Potatoes

Materials

  • 6 pieces of pork
  • •4 sweet potatoes peeled and finely chopped
  • •1 onion cut into slices
  • •2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • •1 can broth of your choice chicken works great, 14 oz
  • •Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Grease a 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
  • Arrange the potatoes and onions in the bottom of the baking dish. season.
  • Brown and season the pork chops and place over the potato and onion layer.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until combined. Add the broth and bring to a boil. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Cook and stir until thick.
  • Pour the sauce over the pork chops.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
