  • - 4 large smoked turkey wings
  • - 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • - 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
  • - Salt and black pepper to taste
  • - 2 cups chicken broth
  • - 1 onion sliced
  • - 3 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the turkey wings in a large baking dish and rub them with the barbecue sauce mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Scatter the sliced onions and minced garlic around and under the wings.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the baking dish, being careful not to wash off the sauce from the wings.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  • Remove the foil, increase the oven temperature to 400°F (205°C), and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the wings are browned and the sauce is bubbly.
