- 1 pound 450g ground beef
- 2 cups 475ml beef broth
- 1/4 cup 40g chopped onions
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1/3 cup 35g breadcrumbs
- 1 cup 70g sliced mushrooms
- 3 teaspoons 25g cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons 45ml water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Black pepper to taste
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onions, egg, salt, and black pepper.
Separate the mixture into 4 portions and shape into steaks.
Cooking Steps:
Cook the steaks in a pan for 10 minutes or until browned on both sides.
Add beef broth, sliced onions, and mushrooms to the pan.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn the heat to low, cover, and cook until the steaks are no longer pink in the center (about 10 minutes).
Transfer the steaks to a platter.
Gravy Steps:
Bring the mixture in the pan back to a boil.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water.
Pour the cornstarch mixture into the boiling mixture.
Continue to cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens.
