Materials

  • - 1 large head of cabbage shredded
  • - 6 slices of bacon chopped
  • - 1 onion finely chopped
  • - 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • - 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the fat in the skillet.
  • Add the vegetable oil to the skillet and increase the heat to medium-high. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  • Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet, stirring to mix it with the onion and garlic. Cook until the cabbage is wilted and begins to brown at the edges.
  • Sprinkle the apple cider vinegar and sugar over the cabbage. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Return the bacon to the skillet, mixing it with the cabbage. Cook for another 2 minutes, or until everything is heated through and combined.
