Ingredients:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
5. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
6. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the chicken is heated through.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
