Healthy French Toast

This Healthy French Toast Recipe is the best! It’s easy to prepare, incredibly delicious, and fills your house with the aroma of a cinnamon candle. I used Ezekiel bread for my French toast, but you can use any bread of your choice.

If you’re a fan of sweet breakfasts like me, you must give this French toast recipe a try! It boasts a perfect golden crust while remaining soft on the inside. I chose Ezekiel bread for its high fiber content, but you can also consider using other bread brands like Sola Bread (Low Carb), Angelic Bakehouse, or Canyon Gluten Free Bakehouse.

INGREDIENTS

  • bread of choice
  • unsweetened almond milk
  • egg
  • cinnamon
  • vanilla (I used vanilla powder, but you can use vanilla extract if you prefer)
  • coconut sugar
  • coconut oil

HOW TO MAKE A HEALTHY FRENCH TOAST

  1. In a bowl, whisk together almond milk, egg, cinnamon, vanilla and coconut sugar.
  2. Place coconut oil into a pan over medium heat.
  3. Dunk the slices of bread into the liquid mixture (one at a time). Make sure you flip the bread to coat both sides evenly. Then, place the slices of soaked bread into the hot pan. You should hear a sizzle when the bread hits the pan.
  4. Cook 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  5. Serve with toppings of choice!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 slices bread of choice – (I used Ezekiel bread)
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla – (I used vanilla powder, but you can use vanilla extract if you prefer)
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp coconut oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Whisk together almond milk, egg, cinnamon, vanilla, and coconut sugar in a bowl.
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Dip bread slices into the liquid mixture one at a time, ensuring both sides are coated evenly. Then, transfer the soaked bread slices into the hot pan. You should hear a sizzle when the bread touches the pan.
  • Cook each side for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings!
